Like 99% of people who try to venture online, they try and buy everything and do nothing. That was me for way too long. I love reading IM products (not kidding) and playing with different wordpress themes and plugins. I used to spend hours doing this before I could get anything completed online. If I had lots of money and spare time I would do this just for fun. Since I’m trying to be serious now just use what is quick easy and good enough. I can fix things later when I have some success. So here is what my online toolbox is mostly made of.
WordPress – duh
Name Cheap – register all my domain names with this. I used to use GoDaddy but got tired of the slow interface and upsells plus they were getting very expensive.
Name cheap Hosting – started out using Hostgator and thought they were awesome until my sites started loading slow. Tried Name Cheap Hosting which is really Web-hosting.com and found my sites loaded faster and it had every feature Hostgator gave me. I’m beginning to think Hostgator is overrated and over utilized at this point. See my post about Hostgator and Bluehost – MUST READ
EasyAzon - This helps me quickly and easily add Amazon links in my content.
BackupBuddy – great plugin for backing up and restoring wordpress sites.
All in One SEO Pack – free SEO plugin ensuring you have basic SEO setup on your site.
Screencast-o-matic – Great for making review videos, screen casts. Very easy to edit videos and no special software required. You can make 15 minute videos for free and upload directly to YouTube.
The Content Authority – great site for getting content outsourced. Very quick and great quality. Not the cheapest but worth the money.
Fiverr – great for getting headers created and other small tasks. you need to do your homework cause there is a lot of crap here.
There are other tools that I use but these are my core products I use on pretty much every site.
PS. Many of these links are affiliate links which I get money for when you purchase the product. (I said I wanted to make money any way possible )
